Today is a day for puttering!
Since I have to work Sunday (ugh), I am off work today. It is a beautiful spring day here :) Hello Mr. Sun. :)
I plan to tame the jungle (do some yard work), get my hair done, run in the park, hit the quilt store for fabrics to complete my sailboat block and hopefully get some sewing time in.
One thing still holds true...
Everyday off is a good day off.

FOUR FABULOUS DAYS
I was fortunate enough to have enjoyed four days off recently. On Wednesday, I attended the James Taylor concert with Kevin and LouAnn. On Thursday, the three of us enjoyed Fleetwood Mac in concert. Both days were full of laughs and good music.
Friday I puttered around and finished planting the garden and had a trip to the quilt store. I plan to make some sailboat blocks for the beach theme swap I am in.
Saturday Jessica and I headed to Lincoln to the International Quilt Museum. We had a good time checking out the beautiful quilts and creating our own video. We followed that up with hitting the quilt stores in Lincoln, NE. Even found some fabrics I really needed. :)
Sunday was a lovely Mother's Day with both my girls here. Katie made a copy of a picture of me dancing at the age of 18. She added a picture of herself dancing, put them in a frame with the statement: From the red hair to the awesome dance moves....Like Mother, Like Daughter. So creative and the interesting thing about this is that our facial expressions are so similar! She also gave me a lovely mother's necklace.
Jessica and Jason got me a very handsome planter that Kevin hung from a decorative hook on the front porch. I do love summer time plants! She posted a great blog of her favorite things this week...featuring...ME! :)
Mom and Dad stopped for the night on their way to Phoenix. We enjoyed having them here for the night. However, I didn't sleep well as this old house creaked everytime they got up to use the pot. Nice to have them here for Mother's Day.
Today it was back to reality and back to the old grind at work.
Hope to get some sewing done and make this a good week.
